September, 2020: MBTA and Enel X selects Microgrid Labs Inc and EVOPT software for planning and development of a 120 bus electric fleet and charging infrastructure at Quincy, Mass, as part of the MBTA’s broader plans to design facilities to serve a zero-emissions e-bus fleets. EVOPT is a Modeling, Simulation and Optimization platform for Planning and Operation of light, medium and heavy-duty electric fleets.
As stated in ENEL X’s press release “Enel X and MGL will provide an innovative electrification planning and analysis solution that will help inform the MBTA’s electrification strategy and has the potential to be applied in other markets. The analysis will include insights regarding the optimal sizing of vehicle powertrain, battery, charging infrastructure, energy infrastructure including microgrids, as well as the development of an optimal charging strategy.”

January, 2019: Microgrid Labs is privileged to be part of the team that received recent Microgrid Implementation grant at the US Army base- Camp Parks in Dublin, California. The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory led project titled: Power Begins at Home – R2M2 Resilient Replicable Modular Microgrids: Assured Energy Security for Military Bases, receives $5 million in California Energy Commission grant.
December, 2018: Microgrid Labs filed international patent for their software Design and Control of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure together with its research partner University of California, Berkeley.
January, 2018: Microgrid Labs received NSF STTR Phase-I funding to develop the software for Design and Control of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure along with its research partner University of California, Berkeley.
September, 2017: Microgrid Labs is privileged to work with the Grid Integration Group at LBNL that has been awarded a grant for a “Modular, Secure, and Replicable Microgrid Control System for Generation and Storage Management at Military Installations” at Fort Hunter Liggett by the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP), Department of Defense (DoD).
